Orisha (Orixa) are deities of ancient religion of Yoruba populations of Nigeria, Benin and neighbouring countries that came to the Americas with the slave-trade. Followers of Orisha deities are common in many different parts of the world. Most images of this wall-paper collection come from Salvador de Bahia in Brazil, one of the major centres for the followers of this religion.
